ASE JSC reorganization has ended up in the Engineering Division through merger with ASE EC JSC

02.07.2021
Atomstroyexport JSC (ASE JSC) reorganization has been completed by the merger with ASE Engineering Company JSC (ASE EC JSC). Therefore, ASE EC JSC ceased its activities on July 1, 2021, its legal successor being ASE JSC, with the corresponding entries being made in the Uniform State Register of Legal Entities. ASE JSC becomes the managing company of the Rosatom Engineering Division and assumes all obligations and powers of ASE EC JSC.

The ASE EC JSC-ASE JSC merger aims to eliminate overlapping of the main end-to-end processes and to optimize the Engineering Division project management system. The ASE EC JSC business operation was inspired by a number of factors and the termination of its activity is a logical completion of this stage of the division's management system development. Proceeding from the ASE JSC legal entity, which is a pioneer of the Russian nuclear industry on the international market, a single contract holder is taking shape. Based on the results of the merger, all Engineering Division’s subsequent and prospective contracting in terms of NPP construction is to be carried out on behalf of ASE JSC.

The key expected result of the ASE EC JSC - ASE JSC merger is to increase the internal operational efficiency of the Engineering Division by reducing the cost of administering legal entities, reducing the number of management levels in the ASE JSC organizational structure, introducing Rosatom State Corporation’s unified end-to-end processes in one legal entity, eliminating gaps between the functional hierarchy lines and production demands, improving operational interfaces between the production units and centralized supporting functional services, etc.

“The completion of the ASE JSC - ASE EC JSC merger should contribute to strengthening the industry’s competitive advantages in the international market”, Nikolay Podorov, the Senior ASE JSC Vice-President for corporate functions pointed out. “The completed reorganization and founding of the NPP construction management center on the basis of the merged ASE JSC should promote the efficient implementing of solutions, reducing the overhead costs and poising the economic model, enhancing our efficiency while we respond to the increasingly stringent and changing requirements of our installed-base and prospective customers,” he went on to say.

As an outcome of the reorganization, the employment terms of those employees who transferred from ASE EC JSC to ASE JSC have remained unchanged, including the level of salaries, social welfare benefits, leave schedule, work site arrangement, business logistics and IT support.
