The Nuclear Kids presented a New Year musical at the foreign sites of the Engineering Division

Before the New Year, participants of the international children's’ artistic project “Nuclear Kids” gave 11 performances in Sochi for the children who undergo training in Sirius Center.

The performance of the “Winter Fairy-Tale 2021” was organized in Sochi at the invitation of the Presidential Lyceum in Sirius federal territory. The project team staged the performance in record 10 days, and it was attended by over 4000 spectators.

Simultaneously, the musical was broadcast on-line for foreign sites in the Engineering Division in Bangladesh, India, Hungary and Belarus, with subtitles in English and Hungarian.
Roman Babushkin, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Russia in India, pointed out that such projects are extremely significant especially when the situation in the world remains complicated due to pandemic of COVID-19. Such projects not only rejoice the young generation and introduce them to art, which is important as it is, but they also help maintain humanitarian links between our countries which has a positive effect on promotion of the Russian-Indian partnership, in particular, for the implementation of the objectives set by the leaders of the two countries during the summit in December 2021 in New Delhi.
Vadiv Khlivnenko, Deputy Director - Head of Division for Construction at Kudankulam NPP Site, mentioned that the “Winter Fairy Tale” project proved once again that no epidemics and other difficulties can be an obstacle to our children and the magic force of art.
After the 2nd of January, the young actors performed the musical in Moscow and the Moscow region for the children of employees of Rosatom State Corporation. The performances were preceded by master-classes, an animation program with Father Frost and Snow Maiden and a beautiful venue for photographing were arranged.

In total, 22 performances were attended by 7000 spectators. The “Winter Fairy Tale” project involved 30 children of the nuclear industry employees, their coaches were director Vladimir Kabanov, choreographer Maxim Nedolechko, composer Ilya Efimov, teachers of singing, scenic speech and acting technique.

The creative team has already started the preparation for NucKids-22 project. Castings will be held in March and April, and in summer the participants will come together once again.

NucKids is an annual non-commercial artistic project, which involves the children of employees of the nuclear industry companies of Russia and foreign partners of Rosatom State Corporation. The main objectives of the project is strengthening the friendly ties between the children of employees of nuclear industry, creating conditions for promotion of talented children, development of new traditions of cooperation in the field of culture.
Nuclear Kids project has been implemented by the Department of Communications of Rosatom State Corporation from 2009. Every year about 80 children are selected to stage a musical during three weeks in summer. The summer session of the project traditionally finishes with performances in the Moscow in Et Cetera and Helikon-Opera theaters. In winter, the young actors participate in the “Winter Fairy Tale” project.
