Atomstroyexport is celebrating its anniversary

Atomstroyexport (ASE JSC), Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Atomstroyexport was established on March 25, 1998. Its founders were Atomenergoexport JSC and VPO Zarubezhatomenergostroy.

Since the early 1970s, 29 power units in 7 countries and 10 nuclear research centers have been built and put into operation with the participation of specialists from Atomenergoexport and Zarubezhatomenergostroy,

After its establishment, Atomstroyexport assumed the obligations to implement the previously concluded intergovernmental agreements on the construction of Tianwan NPP in China, Bushehr NPP in Iran, Kudankulam NPP in India and started working in new conditions. The beginning of the 2000s was marked by revival of serial construction of VVER-1000 power units, development and implementation of III+ safety designs with passive “post-Chernobyl” safety systems. ASE team has successfully implemented the most important international projects, supported the enterprises of the RF nuclear industry and created conditions for commencement a large-scale program for the revival of Russian nuclear technologies.

In 2011, Atomstroyexport became part of the emerging Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division, which united the leading design institutes and construction companies of the nuclear industry under a single management scope, contributing to the general competence its long-term experience in management of NPP construction projects abroad.

In 2021, Atomstroyexport became management company of the Division having the world’s largest portfolio of orders for construction of nuclear power plants - 25 power units in 9 countries. Today, ASE contributes to the development of promising areas of nuclear energy, creates domestic software - integrated technology for management of the life cycle of complex engineering facilities construction based on its own Multi-D platform. In total, the organizations of the Engineering Division employ over 40 thousand people.

Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom State Corporation, sent congratulations to the ASE JSC team, pointing out that Atomstroyexport confidently ensures the fulfillment of the largest orders of Rosatom State Corporation and plays a crucial role in promoting the image of Rosatom as the global technology leader on foreign markets. “All these achievements would be impossible without a personal participation of all the employees of the company. Your professionalism, knowledge and skills lay the foundation for further successful development of Atomstroyexport.
