International educational project of the Engineering Division has received the Nizhny Novgorod Award

The award was granted for a successful implementation of international educational online project for schoolchildren from grades 8-11. 870 senior pupils from Belarus, Egypt, Turkey and Russia participated in the second stage of TEAM-Juniors project. The project allows acquiring the key engineering knowledge and obtaining basic skills of information modeling.

The expert committee of the award noted a high degree of elaboration of application of Atomenergoproekt JSC (a part of Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division) team, novel character and project influence on promotion of Nizhny Novgorod’s positive image in the city, the country and abroad.

“The first people to find out about the victory were the participants of TEAM-Juniors as this project was created specifically for them. I am delighted that the youngsters are already waiting for the start of the next educational stage, which means we have lit a spark of love for the engineer’s profession in young hearts”, noted Alexey Agafonov, Deputy Director General for Support and Development of Design Production of Atomenergoproekt JSC. “We consider as another victory the fact that one in ten finalists of our project has made his or her professional choice in favor of the three leading universities of civil engineering: from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.”

The prizewinners of Nizhny Novgorod Award as project organizers were as follows: Alexey Agafonov, Egor Kalinin, Roman Kopylov, Ekaterina Lavrikova, Polina Savina and Maria Turygina.

The TEAM-Juniors project for occupational guidance of schoolchildren from grades 8-11 is aimed at acquiring the key engineering knowledge and developing basic skills of information modeling of buildings based on Russian software. It was organized by Atomenergoproekt JSC, Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SPbGASU) and Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (NNGASU).
