The Belarus schoolchildren from Ostrovets, a satellite town of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, built by the Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division took part in the EUROBOT RUSSIA 2024 competition.
The Russian EUROBOT stage of the open championship of mobile robots was held in Nizhny Novgorod from May 24 to 26 as part of the “MiRobot” youth festival on mechatronics and robotics.
The Belarusian schoolchildren took part in the competition owing to the support of the Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division and assistance of the Atomic Energy Information Centers. The EUROBOT movement unites 450 teams from 30 countries in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. The Russian stage of the competition has been held since 2007.
The “Impulse” team from secondary school No. 3 in Ostrovets competed in the Junior league for participants aged from 7 to 18 and received a diploma in the “Best Debut” category. Team members, namely Artyom Artemyev, Nikita Apanasevich and Daniil Bruiko assembled a robot based on Lego Mindstorms EV3. “We are glad that our robot has been given recognition and appraisal, but we are at the outset for now. Now we know what we need to work on to be big winners. We are looking forward to take part in Eurobot next year and return victorious to Ostrovets,” say the Impulse team members.
