The Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division has acted as a partner of Bookids family professional festival held for the sixteenth time in Minsk (the Republic of Belarus).
Supported by the Atomic Energy Information Centers (AEIC), the Engineering Division has organized the “AtomMove: We are building the future” platform presenting nuclear professions.
This year, the “AtomMove: We are building the future” programme is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry, that is why the locations correlate with the official motto of the anniversary, namely “Pride. Inspiration. Dream”. The attendees took part in family workshops, designed the city of the future, visited interactive workshops and engineering games. Moreover, photo booths and engineering wall tents were installed, and intellectual quizzes were organized for the visitors to the “atomic” site, to combine music, science and dreams.
Anyone could try to assemble a Goldberg machine, solve scientific puzzles and logical problems, train engineering thinking, listen to the sounding of nuclear power plants, get an atomic tattoo and develop a sense of balance on balance boards and rock climbers. Totally, more than 20,000 people visited the Engineering Division site.

“Bookids” is a family festival, a city of 100+ professions ranging from a shoe repairman to a numerologist. At this festival, children “work” through playing, get an entry in their “work record book”, take a “driver's license” test, can apply for a “credit card” at the festival bank branch, pay taxes and even receive their first “salary”, which can be spent on entertainment at the festival site, charity, additional training or exchanged for goods in the festival stores.
