Over 400 delegates participated in “TEAM”, the 11th International Conference of Rosatom Engineering Division, which was held in St. Petersburg on September 4 - 6. The event was traditionally organized by the Youth Society of St. Petersburg Branch of Atomenergoproekt JSC (part of the Engineering Division). In 2025, the conference was held within the framework of International Research and Education Center for Nuclear and Related Technologies “Obninsk-Tech” in cooperation with National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and Saint-Petersburg State Electrical Engineering University named after V.I. Ylianov (Lenin).

The delegates were young scientists, representatives of profile universities and partner companies from 19 countries - Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Bolivia and other.

This year, the main topic of the conference was the future of nuclear power engineering: challenges, achievements and solutions in the development of perspective high power NPPs. The conference participants exchanged their experience in the field of closed nuclear fuel cycle, thermonuclear fusion, designing, construction of NPPs of low, medium and higher power; prospects of construction of nuclear facilities in newcomer countries. In total, 12 scientific and technical sections were planned for which a two-volume collection of presentation was prepared. The materials of the conference will become part of the national bibliographic database of science citation (RSCI).

Tatiana Terentyeva, Deputy Director for Personnel of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, pointed out that Rosatom is facing ambitious goals the implementation of which is impossible without young specialists. “Nuclear technologies mean vast career perspectives and significant projects. You will have to solve the tasks to achieve the goals outlined in Rosatom Vision-2030 and the General Layout of Siting of Power Industry Facilities up to 2042. Rosatom is at the forefront of creating and applying the innovative solutions, we are interested in attracting young professionals to the industry. For this purpose, the corporation has established a personnel training and development system”, said Tatiana Terentyeva. - I wish you to find new opportunities for yourself at this conference! The most important thing is to be dedicated to what you are doing and to learn all the time to be at the forefront of new technologies and to achieve success”.

“Today we can see designers, physicists and chemists, metallurgists and thermal power engineers, IT specialists, economists and ecologists. Every one of you is a most important part of one grand whole and it is you who will celebrate the centenary of the nuclear industry. I believe that your energy, intelligence and solidarity are the most important foundation which supports and will continue to support the future of not only Russian, but the entire global nuclear power industry”, said Ruben Topchiyan, Director General of Atomenergoproekt JSC, in his welcome speech.

The program for the participants of the “TEAM” included tours to enterprises of St. Petersburg connected with Rosatom activities or belonging to Rosatom scope: Baltic Plant, Izhora Plan, Leningrad Metal Plant and other.
