Description

Currently the Paks NPP of the Soviet design employs 4 power units equipped with VVER-440 reactors.

In 2009, the Parliament of Hungary approved construction of 2 new power units at the NPP. In December 2014, Rosatom State Corporation and MVM Company (Hungary) signed a contract for construction of new NPP units. It is envisaged to construct at Paks-II NPP two more VVER-1200 power units (Nos. 5, 6).

On April 29, 2017, the EPC Contract entered in full force including the parties’ financial commitments. The Company was favourably audited by the Owner and qualified as a nuclear supplier. It is envisage to begin the construction in 2018.
